The Youth Opportunity System provides youth with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop into self-sufficient young adults.

Once eligible, Interns are placed at a host business between 20-40 hours per week for a maximum of eight weeks. Stipends can be earned based on the intern’s weekly evaluation reports.

While learning valuable hands on skills, Interns will learn about the importance of:

• Punctuality;
• Preparedness/Dependable;
• Relationships with Others;
• Cooperation with Supervisors;
• Safety/Health Practices including Dress;
• Initiative; and
• Quality of Work
