Job Growers Incorporated is a public-private partnership venture dedicated to strategic workforce solutions. We work with businesses, education and training organizations, county and state governments, foundations and non-profits to identify and address the current and future workforce needs of Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. Job Growers Incorporated also functions as the Workforce Investment Board for the three-county region. Directors develop a local plan for workforce development and oversee federal and other investments to support the implementation of the plan.

Job Growers Incorporated operates as a “trustee” for workforce development. Directors (with the support of staff) act as scanners to identify workforce challenges/opportunities, conveners of effective partnerships to create solutions, managers of resources to fund solutions, and evaluators to ensure return on investment and identification trends and opportunities.

Directors actively engage in the work of Job Growers by identifying workforce needs, creating new partnerships, finding additional resources, and advocating for workforce development. Working with businesses and industry groups, they form a potent “brain trust” for workforce development.

Over the last decade, Job Growers has invested more than $50,000,000 into:

·        WorkSource Oregon Centers and a Youth Opportunity System;  Matching grants for businesses to “skill up” their current workforce and implement high performance workplace strategies; Industry consortia to leverage training for larger numbers of companies.
