The Enterprise for Employment and Education invests $1.7 million each year into Youth Opportunity System programs to help young adults with the vision and drive, but not all of the tools they need, find a way to achieve their dreams.

Because many of these youth also need to enroll in college to reach their goals, the Enterprise established a scholarship fund in 2003.  The Charlie Schuler Youth Opportunity Scholarship honors one of the greatest champions of youth in our community, Charlie Schuler.  Charlie was a founding member of the Enterprise, and a great believer in human potential.  Charlie helped us understand that the keys to fighting poverty and creating prosperity are opportunity, support, and faith in the abilities of young people.  This is why our scholarship fund bears his name.

The Sparkle of Excellence is our annual fund raiser for the Charlie Schuler Scholarship. This event recognizes current scholarship recipients and provides an opportunity to increase the scholarship funds for future years.

To date, over $35,000 worth of scholarships have been awarded.
