What Job Seekers Are Saying |
Micah Lewis
Radiological Sciences
“In 2004 I had a great job, a cute house, and a happy little family. I made it through five lay-offs and felt confident that with hard work I could be assured of my job even in an unstable industry. I was wrong. I was fortunate, to contact Cheri Mandarino (an Enterprise funded employee of the WorkSource Oregon Center) who became my case worker/savior. With Cheri and the Enterprise behind me, I worked hard at Chemeketa to gain credits for the Radiological Sciences program at Linn Benton from which I graduated in March 2007. Thanks to the Enterprise, and the programs it supports, I now have an awesome job.”

Future Drafter/Architect
“Ever since my family moved to the United States, I have had a dream to pursue a career in drafting or architecture. But my goal was not so easy to achieve. I am one of a family of twelve and had to learn a new language and culture. Because my high school was not accredited, I had two years of credits I had to make up when I transferred to West Salem High School. Although I was a good student, I needed additional support. The Enterprise funded ECHO program gave me the help I needed to complete high school and prepare for college. In 2006 I successfully competed for a Charlie Schuler scholarship, also provided by the Enterprise. Today, I am entering my second year of college, working part time and looking forward to my career. I want to thank the Enterprise for providing the critical resources that helped make this happen for me.”
