 One of the Enterprise's largest investments is into the four WorkSource Oregon Centers located in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties. The Enterprise Board provides funding and oversight for these centers to help adults in transition find new and better jobs and to help businesses find good matches for their job openings. WorkSource Oregon, the statewide network of centers, offers similar services throughout the state.
Each year, the WorkSource Oregon Centers of Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties connect tens of thousands of people to jobs and skills training. Overseen by the Enterprise's WorkSource Center Committee, the WSO Centers provide the following services:
- o Workforce recruitment, screening and referrals
o Labor market, wage assessment and information
o Labor exchange, job orders and job placement
o Access to customized training services and certification programs
o Referral to small business services and assistance
o Retention and wage enhancement services
o Assistance with lay-offs and closures
Through a partnership with the Mid-Willamette Staffing Association, these WorkSource Oregon Centers are able to offer businesses access to value added worker recruitment and retention support.
